This one-hour Hillside Home School tour with an optional additional activity is designed for K-12 class field trips to the Hillside Home School at Taliesin. A revolutionary design for Wright, Hillside was built on three levels to follow the hill's natural slope. Built in 1902 as a boarding school for his two aunts, Hillside houses a theater and a 5,000-square-foot drafting studio. Contact us to schedule.

The tours begin on the picturesque rural estate that has some unique characteristics. All tours require a significant amount of standing, stair climbing, and walking on uneven terrain. There are several series of steps and some with no handrails. Some exterior walkways consist of loose gravel or grassy pathways. There is no opportunity to leave the group should you wish to stay behind. Our public tours are not wheelchair accessible. We can arrange private accessible tours with three weeks’ notice.
